Understanding Consequences Devotional Our actions have consequences, and sometimes very unintended consequences. This truth is evident in our daily lives, whether it's a small decision that leads to a significant outcome or a seemingly harmless action that spirals into something much bigger. The Bible reminds us of this reality and encourages us to be mindful of our choices. Reflecting on Ecclesiastes 4:1-3, we see the suffering and oppression in the world, often a result of human actions. It's a sobering reminder that our freedom to choose comes with responsibility. Introduction This summer, a group of 20 members from our church embarked on a mission trip to the American Indian Christian Mission (AICM) in Arizona. The trip was filled with moments of service, connection, and spiritual growth. Through small service projects, Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs, and deep interactions with the local community, our team experienced the profound impact of God's love and the Holy Spirit's work. Here’s a summary of the key highlights and lessons from the trip. The Journey to Arizona Our team flew to Phoenix and then drove to the AICM, a boarding school for children on the Indian reservation. Although the students were home for the summer, we engaged in various service projects around the campus, such as raking, moving furniture, and cleaning. Each afternoon, we traveled to the White Mountain Apache Christian Church to conduct VBS programs for the local children.
