  Day 1: When Fear Takes Control Devotional Fear can be a powerful force that drives us to make choices we later regret. King Saul's story begins with promise but takes a tragic turn when he allows fear to govern his decisions. Like many of us, Saul faced legitimate challenges and threats. However, instead of turning to God, he let his fears spiral into terror, leading him away from trust in God's provision. We might not face a literal giant like Goliath, but we all encounter situations that can overwhelm us with fear - whether it's financial uncertainty, health concerns, or relationship struggles.
